Information About Calvary's Ministries!
Women's Ministries
The women in our church participate in a program referred to as the WMs, short for Women's Ministries. The WMs organize the many church dinners we have throughout the year, as well as provide beautiful decorations for the church and a wonderful support group for our many women--those married and single. The WMs organize baby showers and wedding showers and also participate in many fund raising projects that help to support the advance of the gospel around the world. Men's Ministries
Our Men's Ministries supports Light for the Lost which provides pamphlets and literature to missionaries for their use around the world. They also get together a few times a year for fellowship and food. The men have participated in missions trips to the Gulf of Mexico to help in the Katrina relief and look for other ways to work around the church and in the community.
Youth
Our youth group is led by Chad and Emily Banfield. They have a strong desire to see the youth group grow and encompass the entire community surrounding the church. The youth have a special chapel all their own that was recently remodeled to give them a fun space in which to grow and experience God. The youth attend Youth Camp every year and also go to other events such as Convention in the Fall. They raise money for Speed the Light to buy vehicles and sound equipment for missionaries around the globe. Young Adults
Our Young Adults group meets on Wednesday nights and participates in a special worship service with the youth. The Young Adults consist of singles and young married couples. We enjoy great discussion about Biblical truths as we read through different books of the Bible together. The Young Adults also help to sponsor events for the youth.
Children's Ministries
Our Children have their own service in the small sanctuary on Sunday mornings where they enjoy puppets, songs, games, crafts, and Bible stories. The children raise money for missionaries and attend Kids Camp every year. The kids also participate in other events throughout the year such as Spring Fling, VBS, and Operation Christmas Box.
